About SASA

The Scottish Association of Sleep Apnoea was formed in 1996 to promote public awareness of sleep apnoea and provide information and support for sufferers and their families.

SASA's aims are to increase the public and professional understanding of sleep related disorders and to reduce driving accidents and other health problems associated with untreated sleep disorders.

The Association provides information leaflets about sleep apnoea and snoring, and their significance, and these are distributed through doctors surgeries to help educate the public health professionals, sufferers and their families. Additional information can be obtained through our website which is kept up-to-date with the latest news and findings. Support for sufferers and their families is provided through local support groups.

Conference

SASA's Conference takes place each year, usually around the beginning of June, and is attended by patients, partners, doctors and nurses and is a useful forum for the discussion of sleep apnoea and related problems and provides an update on research and all matters regarding sleep apnoea. Membership/Fundraising

Without fundraising it would be impossible for SASA to provide the support and information which sufferers and their families need, and we are always looking to increase our membership and fundraising activity. Fundraising for research, publication of the research and such projects are agreed by the Management Committee. You can apply for membership by emailing John Paul or write to: John Paul 1/4 Royston Mains Gardens, Edinburgh EH5 1NH. You can also print off the application form and gift aid form and post/email to John Paul . Annual subscriptions are £10, and are due on 1st April each year.
